Koyokaku

Hyoe Koyokaku is one of the most prestigious ryokans (Japanese-style inns) in the Arima Hot-Spring resort area.
Their three public baths are some of the largest in Arima Hot-Springs, and they also have a selection of soothing spa treatments that help to ensure a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. They are also ideal after a busy day of sightseeing.
The rooms are beautifully decorated in the traditional Japanese style, and feature some wonderful views of Arima town and Mt. Rokko.

Guest rooms

Guest rooms

Hyoe Koyokaku consists of four buildings: the North Building, South Building, West Building and East Building.
Each building has standard Japanese-style rooms. For those wishing to enjoy the very best panoramic views of the area, Koyokaku recommends the rooms on the 11th to 15th floor of the West Building.
There is a private open-air bath on the top floor of the West Building which gives you the chance to soak in the calming hot-spring water while taking in the sights of Arima town and Mt. Rokko.

For another taste of traditional Japanese culture, why not rent a yukata? These light, comfortable robes are available in different colours, and can be worn both inside the hotel or while walking around Arima town.

Baths

Baths

With a long history that dates back to ancient times, the Arima Hot-Spring area is one of the three oldest hot-spring sites in Japan.
There are 3 main public baths available, and they are called "Ichi-no Yu", "Ni-no Yu" and "San-no Yu". Each of the 3 hot springs has their own distinct characteristics and unique atmosphere.
There is also a footbath that can be enjoyed for free. Sipping a cold beverage while warm water swirls around your feet and legsā€¦ a perfect way to enjoy some of the beautiful natural sights of Mt.Rokko.

Cuisine

Koyokaku's dishes are made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and prepared with painstaking attention to detail. Highlights include the Supreme Kobe beef (the finest in Japan) and seafood from the Seto Island Sea.
A variety of dining options are available. "Kaiseki" cuisine is served in your room. "Sosaku Kaiseki" is served in a western-style dining room, and dishes are prepared in an open-style kitchen.
Another alternative is "Sumibiyaki Kaiseki". Your meal is served in a private dining room, which is furnished with a sunken kotatsu (a table with a heater underneath).
