The symbol is Wata island 150m away from the seaside
8 minutes walk from Kazusaokitsu station. This beach is selected "The most beautiful 100 foreshore in Japan" and "The best quality 100 beaches".
The transparency of sea water is absolutely clear, Both sides of the beach are surrounded by cape, therefore, waves are really calm.
In the off-shore, there is "Wata island" where there is red Torii gate. When it is at low tide (there are approximately 20 times in a year) you can see the beach and the island are connected naturally.

Beautiful seawater and scenery at the beach
Thanks to its transparency seawater, you can actually watch fishes in the sea.
When it is at low tide there are various sea animals around the rocks. This beach is highly recommended to family as you can experience not only swimming but also snorkeling and other activities in there. Public showers (free), lockers and bathrooms are equipped.

The beach is shelving bottom and boast its transparency seawater and enormous sand beach.
You can enjoy digging for clams, moreover, there are many good surfing spots and many people visit here. It is also famous as you can watch beautiful sunrise, therefore, visiting there from early morning would give you another great experience. They have many events as well such as "Kamisu city surfing competition" in the middle of July, "Kirasse festival" in the end of August every year.
In the next door ‘Sansen park’, there are rest rooms, hot water shower (with charge), bathrooms.

Boast its beautiful horizon and white sand
Along the beach, you can enjoy beautiful scenery of pine trees and white sand.
This beach is well-known as the egg‐deposition with loggerhead turtles for years.
When it is at low tide you can enjoy beach activities. In the south part of beach, it is famous for the place Japanese cormorant (Phalacrocorax capillatus) are visiting.
There are hot spring (Urara hot spring / Natural hot spring water) and restaurants around the beach, therefore, it is also suitable for day trip.

This extraordinary beach is located in the most south part of Honshu island.
It is located in Kushimoto town, south part of Wakayama prefecture. The beach which has beautiful white sand is shelving bottom and selected "The best quality 100 beaches".
"Hashigui rock" is registered as natural monument by Japanese government and you can enjoy it while you are swimming.
The beach offers perfect comfort equipping shower rooms, rest rooms, lockers etc.

* What is "Hashigui rock"? : It is registered as natural monument by Japanese government. Between Kushimoto and Oshima, there are around 40 rocks from big to small along 850m. Due to erosion, the hard part of rocks have been left and it looks like the pile of bridge. From May to November, you can watch sunrise in between rocks and many people visit there in order to take beautiful photos of it.

The biggest beach in Wakayama prefecture
The beach is just next to JR Nachi station, along 800m. Many people visit this huge sand beach during summer. It takes only 5 minutes from Katsuura hot spring resort by trains or buses. It would be also nice to take some walk around Nachi bay, takes 30 minutes.
It is also well-known as good surfing spot. Showers, bathrooms and lockers are equipped. They have many events at the beach such as treasure hunting, fireworks.

Transparency blue sea and white sand long beach
It is boasting its beautiful white sand beach along 1km. It is very popular beach due to such transparency seawater and shelving bottom.
Most of swimming areas have smooth white sand and rarely see seaweeds.
There are various sea activities around the beach such as cruising, canoes.

Boasting transparency and high quality seawater
The beach is along 25km from east to west and is boasting its shelving bottom sand beach and high quality seawater. People visit there for camping and swimming. You can also enjoy marine sports such as scuba diving or BBQ in there.
There is the camping place which has trailer house and bungalow. You can built tents in there, too. Showers and kitchen are also equipped.

High quality beach where you can also enjoy the scenery
It is boasting such beautiful beach having 8 slopes and 8 beaches. *There is Ozuna beach among "Yasaka-Yahama" (means 8 slopes and 8 beaches).
It is very popular beach due to good surfing spot in the beautiful beach.
Free showers and rest rooms are equipped. During the season, they open Umino-Ie (beach restaurants) which are selling Yakisoba, Kakigori (snow cone) etc.

* What is "Yasaka-Yahama"? : The 8 cape jutting out a long way into the sea is considered slopes and the sand beaches in between the slopes are known as beaches. There are 8 in each mutually.

The island is floating in The inland sea (Setonaikai)
It is located in Honjima island (The girth is 16km), The inland sea. 5 minutes walk from Honjima island port. It is famous for its extraordinary view of whole The inland sea.
You can enjoy swimming viewing Seto bridge, Ushijima island etc. The waves are very clam, therefore, you can watch fishes even in 50cm depth of seawater. Children can also enjoy the beach.
