Asakusa 浅草

Asakusa is located in Western Tokyo area and you may feel the atmosphere of the past decades in Tokyo. There is one of the most famous temples Senso-ji back to around 7th century. The temple's symbol is the giant red paper lantern that bears the inscription "Kaminari-mon" (Thunder Gate). Shimbashi / Shiodome 新橋/汐留

Shimbashi and Shiodome area are the business district close to Ginza. Shimbashi Station is very busy station as it is a major interchange point of the area and known one of the oldest railway station in Japan. Shiodome is developed recently as the new spot in Tokyo. There is the building Caretta Shiodome where you can find a large number of offices, restaurants with spectacular view, museum and shopping area. The garden Hamarikyu, Tsukiji Market are very close.
